What is the working process of a UV coating machine?
UV coating machines are becoming increasingly popular. So, what exactly is the operational workflow that a UV coating machine follows while in operation? Let's take a closer look at the coating machine's workflow together.
The coating unit of a UV coating machine is mounted on the machine's vertical support arms at both ends. Through a transmission system utilizing belts, chains, or cables, the coating unit moves vertically-up and down-to apply a coating across the surface of the screen mesh.
The transmission mechanism is connected to a servo motor or a variable-frequency drive motor, ensuring smooth operation and enabling precise control over the positioning of the coating unit.
Before using the coating machine, a clean, properly tensioned screen frame is loaded into the machine-typically from the front. Some models also allow for loading the screen frame from the side; this side-loading method is particularly common in models designed for large-format screen frames, as these frames are often large and cumbersome, and side-loading minimizes the amount of lifting and maneuvering required. Furthermore, when an automatic screen coating machine is integrated and operated in-line with other automated screen processing equipment (such as cleaning units, reclaiming units, drying units, and developing machines), side-loading proves to be a much more convenient method. Regardless of how the screen frame is loaded, once it is positioned correctly, either a pneumatic or mechanical clamping mechanism engages to securely lock the frame in place. To facilitate easier operation, many models feature a foot pedal control for the clamping mechanism, allowing the operator to keep both hands free to handle and position the screen frame. Once the screen frame is installed and the appropriate photosensitive emulsion has been loaded into the automatic coating machine, the coating process can begin. Depending on the specific control system and capabilities of the equipment, the machine may be capable of coating both sides of the screen mesh simultaneously.
The above outlines the operational workflow for using a coating machine. Hopefully, through this introduction, you have gained a better understanding of how a coating machine functions, enabling you to operate such equipment more effectively should you encounter it in the future.
