The single-station planar slot-die battery coater is a small sheet coating machine developed by our company, featuring a high-precision modular design. It is equipped with a vacuum adsorption unit, a slot-die coating unit, and a platform moving unit. After the sheet is fixed by vacuum adsorption on the platform, it enters the coating unit. It is suitable for laboratory experiments and small-batch production.

Slot-Die Coating

High-precision film thickness control: The slot-die head uses extrusion-type metered feeding, which stably and precisely controls dry and wet coating thickness with excellent film thickness consistency. It adapts to coatings from ultra-thin to medium-thick, and to low-, medium-, and high-viscosity slurries.

High-speed continuous coating: Suitable for continuous high-speed roll-to-roll production with high efficiency, it fits large-scale industrial mass production and offers a wide coating speed window.

Excellent coating uniformity: Film thickness fluctuation is small in both the transverse and machine directions, with none of the streaks or scratches common to blade coating, delivering a high finished-product yield.

High slurry utilization: Closed-chamber feeding reduces slurry loss and limits volatilization and contamination, making it suitable for solvent-containing, easily oxidized, and high-value functional slurries.

Wide substrate adaptability: It can coat on various flexible substrates such as film, copper foil, aluminum foil, and non-woven fabric, with stronger tolerance for substrate surface flatness.

High-precision slot-die coating technology: This battery coater adopts an advanced extrusion-type coating head together with a precision metering pump, with coating precision stably controlled at 0.005 mm, ensuring an extremely uniform distribution of the slurry on the sheet surface.

Vacuum adsorption fixturing system: The battery coater is equipped with a large vacuum adsorption platform (1000 × 400 mm), which holds sheet-type substrates firmly and flatly, effectively preventing substrate displacement or wrinkling during coating.

Compact laboratory design: The battery coater has overall dimensions of only L 2500 × W 700 mm and weighs about 1500 kg. Its compact structure makes it ideal for deployment on a laboratory bench or in an independent workspace with limited room.

Flexible sheet handling capability: This battery coater supports an adjustable coating width of 0-300 mm. Together with the platform moving unit, it flexibly meets the coating needs of square or rectangular sheets in different sizes.

Low energy consumption, efficient operation: The battery coater has a total power of only 2 kW, with a mechanical speed of up to 6 m/min (coating speed Max. 5 m/min), achieving very low energy consumption while maintaining precision manufacturing.
