Comma Coater

 

The Comma Coater is a small-to-medium coating machine developed by our company, featuring a high-precision modular design. It is equipped with a comma blade coating unit, a roll pressing unit and a UV curing unit. After coating, the material enters the pre-curing unit where it is pressed into shape while being cured, then passes into the UV curing unit for complete curing before winding. It is suitable for pilot-scale process parameters and small-batch production.

 

 

Utilizes comma blade technology

High-precision control: The comma blade is a precision metering roll that precisely controls coating thickness through the gap between the blade and the backup roll, making it highly suitable for high-viscosity fluids.

Thick coating capability: Compared with ordinary blades, the comma blade is better suited for applying thicker coatings.

Excellent flatness: Thanks to the rigid structure and rotating action of the blade, surface irregularities of the substrate are effectively eliminated, ensuring a uniform coating.

The Comma Coater offers extremely high coating control, with coating precision up to 0.005 mm. This ensures coating uniformity and flatness even when handling high-viscosity or specialty fluids, meeting the demands of precision manufacturing.

The Comma Coater offers a wide production width: the guide roller width reaches 850 mm and the effective coating width covers 0-750 mm. Compared with ordinary lab machines, it better meets the width requirements of small-to-medium batch production and improves sample representativeness.

The Comma Coater is equipped with a comprehensive curing system supporting a curing temperature range of 0-200°C, combined with a UV curing unit for complete curing. This dual safeguard enables it to handle a wide range of adhesive materials and functional coatings sensitive to curing conditions.

The Comma Coater features a robust drive system with three-phase AC 380 V power at 30 kW, complemented by a 0.5-0.8 MPa air supply. This ensures stable tension and smooth operation even at a maximum coating speed of 8 m/min.
