Applications and working principles of coating machines

Applications of the Automatic Coating Machine
Suitable for adhesive coating on shoe materials, electronic components, sponges, EVA, PE, fabrics, and similar substrates.

Tension Control System
1. Process Requirements
The coating machine is required to uniformly apply adhesives or inks onto the surfaces of aluminum foil, plastic films, or textile fabrics. This process demands a high level of precision; not only must the coating be highly uniform, but the machine must also be capable of performing high-speed, non-stop roll changes to maximize production efficiency.

2. Advantages of the Solution
Tension control at each stage is managed by variable frequency drives (VFDs), utilizing tension sensors to ensure precise regulation. This results in a system that is both simple and highly stable. A PLC or synchronization controller is employed to regulate the speed of the drive roller's VFD, simultaneously serving as the line speed reference signal for the other VFDs in the system.
The S350 closed-loop tension control (featuring sensorless vector control) effortlessly maintains constant tension during acceleration and deceleration phases. This eliminates the need for tension rollers-thereby saving installation space and reducing mechanical costs-while the high-precision control ensures a highly uniform coating result.
The dual-station unwinding and rewinding mechanism features a pre-drive function, enabling high-speed, non-stop automatic roll changes to meet the demands for increased production efficiency. Furthermore, precise rewinding control prevents defects such as "telescoping" (uneven winding), resulting in superior roll quality.
